Hidden in an older plaza we found through Google. Was still tricky as the sign above restaurant is very faded. Look for Dollarama it's just down from there. Small diner style with single and double booth seating. Some counter seats. Very fast service. Polite and cheerful. Western omelet was cooked perfectly, ham was very tasty and plentiful. Home fries were grilled nicely. Hubby's sausages were excellent h said. Scrambled eggs cooked well. Meals were served very quick. Enjoyable

This local diner is a must try for breakfast or brunch. The food is fantastic, with generous portions for a great price. Staff is friendly and personable. We have had multiple instances where they have gone above and beyond to help us have a better dinning experience. If you’re looking for a rustic, friendly, small town spot this checks all the boxes. One thing to note, they only accept debit or cash, no credit. We love the food and team at PJs, and will be back soon!

PJ's Restaurant in Whitby offers an outstanding breakfast experience with a cozy, traditional vibe that makes you feel right at home. The veggie omelet was packed with fresh peppers and tomatoes, complemented beautifully by well-seasoned home fries that were crisp outside and tender inside. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy, light, and generously loaded with berries, making for a truly enjoyable treat. The grilled cheese was perfectly toasted and buttery, a classic comfort done just right. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed morning meal. Every detail, from the classic tabletop to the friendly chatter, adds to the old-school diner charm. Service by Randy was fantastic—prompt, cheerful, and attentive without being intrusive, which really enhanced the experience. If you're looking for a breakfast spot with delicious food, friendly service, and true local spirit, PJ's is a must-visit.

We love PJ's! It's our regular weekend go-to after trying many other diners in the area. You can't go wrong with their food (their sausages are the best anywhere). The staff and owner are lovely. If you want the retro, hidden gem feel, this is the place! It's been around since the 50's, for good reason.

My husband, daughter and I came on a whim while we were here for a Lacrosse tournament. The outside of the restaurant was nothing to look at, so we were worried that we were misled by the 4.8 rating. We were so wrong. The food was fast and fresh, and delicious. And SO hot. I had the eggs Benedict (a weekend special), my husband had the lumberjack, and my daughter had the buttermilk pancakes. We were all pleasantly full as we rolled back out the door — magical rice pudding in hand. I HIGHLY recommend the rice pudding!! All in all, if we come back to the area, we will be coming back to this hidden hole-in-the-wall gem for breakfast again!!

PJ’s is a must-visit, family-owned spot that’s been around since 1956. It has a classic, cozy ambiance and very friendly, proactive staff that make you feel right at home. I had the Lumberjack all-day breakfast, and it was delicious — kudos to the sausage, which was especially tasty! The food portions are generous, especially for the price — great value overall. The place isn’t very big, so you might have to wait a bit; our group of six waited about 10 minutes for a table on a Saturday around 11 a.m. One important note: they only accept debit or cash, so plan ahead. Definitely worth the visit!
